New Testament-inspired project
Helping orphans, street children and those left behind by society.
In a more general sense, this project is about good intentions: financial aid and other services for people in difficulty. It has the noble task of bringing relief to the needy: orphans, widows, street children… This work is exalted and difficult because it calls for financial relief and many other services to people in difficulty. The Son of Man, Jesus Christ, came to seek and save what was lost. « For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you welcomed me; I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me! »

Then the righteous will reply: « Lord, when did we see you…? were you hungry, and we fed you? were you thirsty, and we gave you something to drink?
You were a stranger, and we welcomed you? Were you naked, and we clothed you? You were sick or in prison… When did we come to you? » And the King will answer them, « Amen, I say to you: whenever you did it to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me. » Matthew 25:35-40.

In the Gospels, the Lord invites us to care for strangers, widows and orphans, and prisoners.
So many dramatic situations are experienced by the homeless, the inadequately housed, mothers, students, precarious workers, the elderly… Today, more and more men, women and children are living in extreme poverty. The needs are there. It’s time to act. « Soup, soap, salvation, psychological, moral and spiritual support. »
The Word of God invites us today more than ever to respond to His call: « I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. » The Bible invites us to care for the weakest in all their dimensions. May we be inspired by this desire to welcome and restore the Other, in soul and body, following the example of Saint François d’Assise and Saint Zygmunt GORAZDOWSKI, Father of the Poor and Forgotten.

With THE POORS OF GOD ASSOCIATION, the love of God and of his poor children calls us incessantly. « He who loves others has perfectly fulfilled the law » (Rom 13:8).
